The Ipswich and Norwich Co op band is a 1st Section brass band based in Ipswich. As of January 2009 we will be promoted to the championship section nationally. We were also recently crowned the champion band of East Anglia, after winning the East Anglian contest. You can read a detailed history of the band from its beginnings up until 2004 here. The band rehearse on a Monday and Thursday evening in Derby Road in Ipswich. We are also sponsored by the East of England Co operative society.
The band is currently selling raffle tickets to raise money for the trip to the1st Section Final of the National Brass Band Championships, which are based in Harrogate.
